Most companies put an "About Us" or "About Our Company" section on their website.  Here at Sykophunk Productions, we'd rather talk about you.  After all, it is our fans, our friends, and our family that make everything we do possible and worthwhile.

You are a music lover.  You're not just a casual fan; music is your life.  It's there when you wake up, when you're driving, while you're on the internet, working, hanging out with friends, whatever.  Music is just as important to your existence as breathing and eating.

You appreciate the creativity behind great songs, and you're always looking for something new and interesting to listen to.  Your musical tastes are diverse, and you like hearing different styles blended together.  And you are sick and tired of cliches, gimmicks, and the pre-packaged garbage that the mainstream record labels try to pass off as music.

Sound about right?  How do we know so much about you?  It's because the minds behind Sykophunk Productions are also music lovers.  We're not business executives, we're artists.  We don't have customers, we have people.  People who believe in what we stand for and inspire us to keep doing what we do.  Without our people, we have no purpose.  Without you, we are not us.

The Music and The Mission

Sykophunk is a style of music that is defined more by its content and creativity than any boundaries of genre.  Mixing elements of rap/hip hop, metal, goth, trip hop, funk, industrial, blues, electronica and anything else that helps carry the tone and imagery of a song.

At Sykophunk Productions, our major goals are to make music that is interesting and has some substance to it, to get the music out to people looking for something new, and to help other artists and labels in similar positions.

Though we believe that sykophunk is a unique genre, we are not a niche market.  We encourage social & spiritual unity, seeking to bring people of different walks of life together through a common love for great art and a common disliking of opression in our modern society.  Yes, it's that deep, but above all we enjoy what we do.  We have fun while we fight the system.

The business of making and selling music is currently going through a revolution, and Sykophunk Productions aims to be a part of it.  Indie music comes from the artists, not soulless corporations, and it is presented directly to the fans who love it.  It is our promise to continue to make and promote music that moves people: mentally, spiritually, and/or physically.  As our company grows, we will undoubtedly expand into other areas as well.  This is just the beginning...
